The Ultimate Cubase Recording Pack bundles the UR824 USB rack audio interface together with the latest version of Cubase. The UR824 provides plenty connectivity through the eight TRS/XLR combo inputs and eight TRS outputs alongside two pairs of ADAT and wordclock I/O. Switchable high impedance on two inputs, pad attenuation, phantom power and two individual headphone buses with separate outputs and controls round out its impressive I/O capabilities. Inside the interface are eight D-PRE mic preamps and premium audio converters to ensure the utmost quality in sound alongside DSPs for latency-free monitoring with effects. Cubase comes with a suite of 62 audio effects including the VST Amp Rack guitar tone suite, 18 MIDI VST effect processors and ten VST instruments, such as HALion Sonic SE, the Padshop granular synth and Retrologue.

Steinberg est heureux d'annoncer le vu-mètre Loudness SLM 128, un plug-in* VST 3 qui permet la mesure du niveau de Loudness normalisé EBU R 128 depuis Cubase 6.5 et Nuendo 5 ou supérieurs.
 
Dans les dernières décennies, le niveau de Loudness des publicités radio et télé a été considérablement augmenté — un phénomène souvent référencé comme la "guerre du loudness". Dans le but d'harmoniser les niveaux audio, l'Union de Broadcast Européenne (EBU) a introduit la norme R 128, une approche de la mesure du Loudness basée sur la nouvelle "Loudness Unit Full Scale" (LUFS). Au 31 Août 2012, beaucoup de diffuseurs n'accepteront plus que les signaux audio compatibles avec la norme EBU R 128.
 
"C'est pourquoi nous avons décidé de créer un outil de mesure du Loudness dans un délai très court, qui permet à nos utilisateurs de rendre leurs mixages compatibles R 128," annonce Timo Wildenhain, product marketing manager chez Steinberg.

Our acclaimed radar display has long proven an efficient solution when upgrading audio production for broadcast, film and music from unsatisfactory peak level indicators to loudness-based metering. LM6 Radar Loudness Meter gives you direct access to this revolutionary meter whether you are using Media Composer, Final Cut Pro X, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Nuendo, Wavelab, Sequoia, etc. on a Mac or PC and whether your productions are in mono, stereo or 5.1.

Because LM6 is designed for demanding hosts such as Final Cut Pro and Media Composer, special attention has been devoted to "sleeping beauty" functionality: The plug-in works great even in environments restricted by screen space or by CPU resources. Besides from that, the user interface is similar to TC radar meters in LM2, TM7, TM9 or LM5D. If you are already familiar with the radar, crossing platforms is seamless, and you always get the correct numbers.

LM6 shows loudness history in a single, easy-to-read, radar-like view and each revolution can span from 1 minute to 24 hours. Further, you can log loudness history and other key information as a standard formatted text file.
